JOB OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Studio Manager to oversee the daily operations of Destiny Studio in McKinney. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for creating an exceptional experience for students, families, and staff. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the daily operations of the studio, ensuring it is clean, welcoming, and running smoothly at all times. Oversee the Schedule Coordinator, ensuring they are fulfilling their duties, including submitting and maintaining accurate end-of-shift reports, and addressing any issues that arise. Maintain up-to-date class schedules, teacher assignments, and studio calendars with accuracy and efficiency. Serve as the main point of contact for parents and students, handling inquiries, resolving concerns, and building strong, lasting relationships. Track and manage internal forms related to staff time off, schedule changes, and membership cancellations, while ensuring adequate coverage and arranging substitutes as needed to maintain uninterrupted studio operations. Lead weekly staff huddles with instructors, conduct weekly 1:1s with non-instructional team members, and post weekly team announcements in Slack. Plan and execute quarterly staff rallies and lunch-and-learn trainings, ensuring ongoing team development and alignment with studio goals. Monitor instructor performance through regular observations and ongoing engagement, ensuring they deliver high-quality instruction, follow the Artist Pathway, meet expectations, participate in studio initiatives, and promote monthly student challenges. Coordinate with other company managers, student showcases (individual and joint) and special events that highlight student progress and deepen community connection. Represent Destiny Studio in the local community by attending Chamber of Commerce events and other networking opportunities. Strong knowledge of the McKinney area is highly valued to build relationships and promote the studio locally. Review studio financial reports weekly, including overdue invoices, to stay informed about financial health and support strong financial stewardship. Participate in all required leadership meetings, including weekly check-ins, monthly/quarterly/annual planning sessions with the leadership team and any additional meetings requested. Support the achievement of key performance indicators such as trial conversions, retention, client satisfaction, and community reputation. Actively implement strategies to drive strong studio performance across all areas. QUALIFICATIONS Music Experience: A background in music is required, with the ability to understand music concepts and terminology. Experience in a music or creative arts environment is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in management, customer service or scheduling, ideally in a creative or educational setting. Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build positive relationships with families, staff, and community partners. Problem-Solving Ability: Anticipates challenges and develops efficient, creative solutions. Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with operations software, GSuite, project management tools (Asana and/or Monday) and other office tools; Canva experience is a plus. Team Leadership: Ability to motivate, mentor, and support a team in achieving shared goals. Customer Service Excellence: A warm, professional demeanor and passion for serving people. AVAILABILITY Full-time availability required during studio operating hours, with a typical schedule of three daytime shifts (9:00am–5:00pm) and two evening shifts (12:00pm–8:00pm) per week.
